A new home for my ATC swap

Hi all. I’ve just created yet another new home for my ATC swap. I just thought it would be better to post as separate posts on a new blog then it is to scrolling down all the time on one page.
The site is still under construction, so bear with me! And please ignore the pictures of Shane Filan for now. They will be changed into pictures of ATCs. They’re just for show at the moment and gives a little bit more of a presence to the page.

As for the holiday report, it will come soon. We’ve been popping out the last two days so I haven’t uploaded my pictures yet. And as for stitching, I’ve only done about two hours on Leonardo so far. But today I did my first Paint Fusion project!! Pictures to come soon…

Back!

Home sweet home!!
Just a quick message to say I’m home. Had a lovely time on holiday but it’s so good to be back home.

I will be catching up on my blog reading, fanfiction reading and everything else during the week. I’m guessing I’ve got a lot to catch up on!

More details of the holiday to come with pictures. This is really a quick post to let you know I’m home!

Pink, yellow and green

I’m on holiday by the time this post should be up. It’s my first time doing automatic posting. Hope it works!

Anyway on to the subject… Over at Craft Pixies the theme for this month ATC swap is pink, yellow and green. Here my ATCs:

As you can see, I have gone with a sunflower theme with these ATCs. Not a lot of pink as been used. I used distress ink Spun Sugar for the background and promarker Rose Pink for the flower pot. I did add the colour brown, it finishes the sunflowers off better then with a white middle. This is what I used:

Hopefully there will be a live update soon. But for now, it’s goodnight from Bath!

On Holiday

Hopefully when this post is published, I will be on holiday. A lovely whole week in Bath and the surrounding areas. I am taking one or two pieces of cross stitch with me to do in the evenings. Only small designs that would only take a couple of hours to stitch at least.
Full report and pictures to come in about 2 weeks time…

Question is… did I take my writing with me?????

I will leave you with one of my favourite bloopers from Hercules…

Leonardo week 2

Before I go on holiday thought I would update you on Leonardo. It’s two week into this project and I have to say I am enjoying every last stitch!! Just sad that I’ll be putting him away later tonight. How long will it be before he is put back on?
Anyway… Here is the latest progres pic:

I did managed to do a little bit more this afternoon. I worked on some of the half stitch. I took a picture of Leonardo on my phone earlier to set it as the wallpaper. Now when I look at my phone, I will remember what is waiting for me when I get home.
Also I took the same progress pic but in black and white:

Guessing I should stick with colour?

I have actaully got one or two post lined up to be automatically posted while I am away. Hopefully when I get back, I should find those post posted. Fingers crossed!!

Lovely weather

Its been lovely around here for the last couple of days. The cats are enjoying the sun, staying outside most of the day and only really coming in for their tea. Today there is hardly a cloud in the sky and hardly any wind.

Yesterday this blog celebrated its first anniversary. I was going to update yesterday but got caught doing other things. I would like to this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who takes time out to look at this blog. And a massive thank you to those who leave a comment. It always makes me smile every time I get a comment. So thank you. Here’s for another year of blogging!

Mother’s Day has come and went so it is now time to show you what I did and got for Mother’s Day. I stitched a present and a card for my mum and then when I popped into town I got some other things as well. It’s safe to say that my mum loved her presents!

First up is the biscornu I stitched:

Side view:

Stitched on 14ct white aida. Changed the recommended DMC to other thread in my stash. Full stitches only with backstitch. Design from World of Cross Stitching magazine, design library.

After the biscornu, I stitched the design for the card:

Then I made the card:

The other presents I got mum were; a “time for tea” set:

And her favourite cuppuccino chocolates:

Away from the Mother’s Day gifts to the daily stitching. I have started the Leonardo design I go for my birthday. I wasn’t going to but I reasoned I was going to get a bit done before the holiday. I started Leonardo last Friday and have been enjoying him. I don’t think I’m going to get the first page done before next Saturday but I think I’ve got a good chance of stitching the part of the cat on the first page. Here’s what I’ve done over the week:

Hopefully I can do a good lot of stitching next week and get a good part of the first page done before the holiday. As for the holiday stitching, I really don’t know what I’m taking (if any). Will let you know what I’m taking if I decide to take any!
