Japenese Butterfly

Ok so for now the Kevin Sorbo/Dylan Hunt cross stitch is being put to one side. Unless I decide to work on him during the weekends…

I have started to stitch my mum’s birthday present. On the kit it says “Butterflies” and then on the chart it says “Japenese Butterfly”. Either way there’s a butterfly on the design. Here are couple of progress pictures for you to enjoy…

24+1=25

Can anyone guess???

Yep, got another cross stitch kit! Brought it during last weekend. Since it was half price, how can a girl resist?!

I went to my local Hobbycraft to get some more threads, well actually 14 threads, and came across a sale of a few dozen cross stitch kits. Amongst the kits were about 5/6 kits of Lickle Ted. 3 of them were the same mind you. So which one did I chose??

So was it a good idea to go into Hobbycraft last weekend??? Of course it was!!

Butterflies and Blossom

Hope all is ok! Just really giving a quick update here… Over the bank holiday weekend and half term (though its not really half term for me) I have been busy stitching a kit called Butterflies and Blossom. I don’t know why it’s called ‘Butterflies’ and Blossom because in the finished design there is only one butterfly, but never mind.

These pictures are showing the Butterflies and Blossom in progress. Starting from Friday and finishing on Sunday 6th July…

You maybe thinking it was hard to stitch on the pink fabric… The frabic was 14 count aida which makes the holes on the fabric easy to see. 14 count is my normal frabic count anyway, although I do stitch on 16 count when I do All Our Yesterdays designs.

This design has full stitches, backstitch, french knots and buttons. So if you are not keen on doing french knots… this is not a kit for you!! Although if you know how to do beading then you can replace the french knots with beads.

24 and climbing

Well yesterday I decided to take a picture of my cross stitch kits. The real reason… the bag they were in, broke! So using my sister’s room as a spear room, I put my 24 cross stitch kits into her room for temporarily storage. But one day I will be moving into her room, as always planned when she moved out. But her dying is another story, so I’m not in any hurry to move in!

Anyway, the pictures shows the 24 kits I have collected over the last 4 years that I have been stitching. Some I only got because of the price, I will get round to stitching them but they’re not on the top of  my pile!

These pictures don’t even include the cover kits that you get with the magazines! Some of these I have started which have now become UFOs (unfinished objects) But one day I will get them finished!!!

I’m at 24 now and I’m still going to be climbing, with new designs coming out this month, how can a girl resist???
